Corruption : Interamerican convention against corruption

The Interamerican Convention Against Corruption is the first international commitment for Good Government promotion and the largest cooperation system against impunity. Twenty two countries from the Organization of the American States signed that agreement in Caracas City on March 29th 1996, after draft discussion and writing by an Expert Group which worked at OAS, Washington D.C., during 1995.

The most important Convention's precedents were the Summit of the Americas (Miami, December 1994) and the First World Conference on Ethics in Government (Washington D.C. , November 1994).
